Vice Chancellor - Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (Deemed to be University)

Prof. (Dr) P.K. Sudhir is the Vice Chancellor of the esteemed Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (Deemed to be University) [VMRF(DU)], which is the 48th Deemed University in India with 13 constituent Colleges and 12 constituent Schools under its ambit.

He obtained his graduation and post graduation in Homoeopathy from Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Calicut, Kerala which is affiliated to University of Calicut and the first resident to obtain MD (Hom) in India in the year 1995. He has more than 34 years of professional, academic and administrative expertise.

He started his academic carrier in Father Muller’s Homoeopathic Medical College, Mangalore, Karnataka and served in various positions. He also served as the Principal of Vinayaka Mission’s Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Salem a constituent college of VMRF(DU) for a period of 10 years. Later he became the Founder Controller of Examinations of Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur (A State Government University) for a period of 8 years in two terms. During his tenure, he was instrumental in establishing a reliable, valid, secure and innovative examination system with the best use of technology.

In the year 2018, Prof. (Dr) P.K. Sudhir was appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (Deemed to be University), Salem for a period of 5 years and had been recently reappointed as the Vice Chancellor of the University for another term of 5 years based on his significant contributions in uplifting the University in multiple directions towards Academic Excellence, Research Excellence, Public Service Excellence, Partnership Excellence, Institutional Excellence etc.,

He served as a member of Central Council of Homoeopathy, New Delhi and a core committee member of Homoeopathy Education Board of National Commission of Homoeopathy, New Delhi. Currently he is the Governing Council member of National Homoeopathy Research Institute in Mental Health, Kottayam, Kerala.

He represented various universities in India in different capacities. He has delivered lectures as an invited Speaker in India and abroad in the filed of Homoeopathy and Health Science Education. He is an Editorial Board Member for various scientific journals, and he has more than 30 scientific publications.

He is an Assessor for National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and National Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH) for the past 10 years. He is the recipient of many awards and recognitions.
