VMRF(DU) and HCLTech Collaborate to Advance Industry-Integrated Learning

VMRF and HCLTech Partnership

Chennai, India, Nov 15, 2024—Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation - Deemed to be University (VMRF(DU)) today announced the signing of a strategic partnership with HCLTech, a leading global technology company.

Through their partnership, VMRF will adopt HCLTech’s Career Shaper™ platform to drive digital transformation and offer industry-relevant programs, internships, specialization tracks and job opportunities for students. Leveraging HCLTech's expertise, VMRF aims to enhance interdisciplinary education and experiential learning across various fields such as Engineering, Arts, Management, Law, Medicine, Dentistry, Economics, and Pharmacy.

Career Shaper™ aims to partner with top universities like VMRF to develop innovative educational products. An advanced AI and Data Center of Excellence will be set up at the university for continuous learning. This CoE will host events on R Programming and AI tools for academic research in the upcoming months.

The MoU was signed at an event held in Taj Coromandel, Chennai, on November 15 and was graced by the Hon’ble Chancellor of VMRF(DU), Dr A.S. Ganesan; Dr Anuradha Ganesan, Vice-President; Mr J Suresh Samuel, Chief Strategy Officer & Full time Member of the Board of Management, VMRF(DU) and HCLTech leaders from the Edtech business including Ms Srimathi Shivashankar, CVP and Ms Ambika Natarajan, SVP. Senior academic leaders, including Prof Dr P.K. Sudhir, Vice-Chancellor; Dr J Sabarinathan, Pro Vice-Chancellor; and Dr A. Nagappan, Registrar of VMRF(DU), were also present to mark this pivotal occasion.

This strategic partnership between Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation and HCLTech represents a substantial leap forward in cultivating a new generation of professionals prepared to thrive in dynamic, technology-driven industries.

Finishing School Program

VMRF and HCLTech Partnership
Program Description :

This program is designed for the final year students of a degree program and will consist of 10-25 sessions spread over a period of two to five days. The program may include both online and offline modes of training. It is aimed to enlighten the final year students on various career opportunities available after successful completion of the program and how to equip themselves to meet the requirements and fulfill their dreams.
